Poppystamps Arched Poppies Die--Suspended Inlaid Technique

I CASED a card made by Julie Ebersole that was posted on Ellen Hutson’s The Classroom:
http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2014/05/hello-monday-05122014.html

I used scraps to make the monochromatic panels and mounted the pieces onto copy paper so it would be thin enough to die-cut... I die-cut the image out of the panels and also out of black cardstock. I had a problem die-cutting through the panels until I used a metal shim. That helped. I removed the image from the panels and used the Inlaid Technique to place the black outer edge of the images into the negative spaces created on the panels. I’ll use the monochromatic images on the inside of the cards.

I used Stampin’ Up! Adhesive Foam Lines to mount the yellow panel onto the card base, but it is really meant for shaker cards so it was higher than I wanted. I used 3M Adhesive Foam Tape to mount the blue panel. I think that worked better.

Supplies:
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110-lb cardstock (card base)
Scraps (monochromatic panel and black die-cut)
Copy Paper (base for the monochromatic panels)
Michael Strong Stamps (sentiment)
Versafine Onyx Black Ink
Stampin' Up! Adhesive Foam Lines (yellow panel)
3M Adhesive Foam Tape (blue panel)

The yellow card can be seen in my Scrapbook.com gallery: https://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/13464/view/5925729/-1/0/0.html/
