Oh good, I was worried for a minute!

I need to photo my ATC and check and make sure I still have Jan's address (I think i do) and then I can send it out.

I've got Sadies done, I'm just letting it dry for a bit before I put it in the envelope. I should be able to get it out In the mail today since our new mail lady runs later in the afternoon now.

My ATC is in pieces on my craft desk.  Once the pieces are dry, I can assemble it and get it out to Melissa.  Hopefully, it will get to her.  I think I'm going to have to make CG a new ATC for February, since I think she still hasn't gotten it.   :-\

Twice now, I have had my watercolor background done, stamped on it after it was dry with versifine ink and twice now after it has dried overnight, when I have gone to add something else the versifine ink has smeared.  Should I be using Stazon Ink.

Now I have to start over again.  Somewhat discouraged.

Ann, sorry you're having trouble! I think you can use Versafine? I'm not sure though. I will have to look that up.
My go tos for watercoloring are stazon and archival inks.

What is up with the postal system?!  The office I work for has had several insurance payments that have gotten lost in the mail. It's very frustrating!

Versafine is really a fast drying ink and I use it frequently for watercoloring.

Are you doing something other than watercolor to it?

Thanks for your responses.

I am going to try Staz On later today.   At least I am getting practice in watercoloring with each new try.  Maybe it is because I am using card stock.
Will give it another try.  Crossing my fingers that it works.

After I have stamped the image, I let it dry overnight.  Then as I am moving it around to see what else I can add, that is when it get smugged.

Want to get it mailed on Friday.

I really enjoyed making this ATC. I was going for Shabby Chic and spring looks.

Ann, if you would still like to use the Versafine, I'd use the heat gun on it for just a touch and see if that fixes the smudging.    I'm getting into the habit of setting all inks with a moment of the heat gun (except for my dye inks) just to be sure.

Hi Melissa-curious why you don't heat set your dye inks?  Ann-perhaps it's the watercolor you are using that is not working well with versafine.

Hi Jan! I should had pointed out I don't heat set "Mementos Dyes inks"---I usually don't heat set my mementos dye inks since they dry real quick---now I might actually set them too (and just don't recall) since I am usually grabbing my heat gun after I stamp something every time, lol!

But my distress inks (which I thought were also dye inks?) I heat set them for sure since they seem to attract all kinds of things (like embossing powders) despite it may had been a day or two since I used the distress inks.
